Moorish's 25th At Sugimoto

A little update on last night's dinner at Sugimoto for Moorish's birthday. There were about 10 of us, including 2 other Moorish's friends.

The food there was alright. We ordered duplicate set of 7-8 dishes including Taco Wasabi (it's actually octopus, Sue's favourite!), salmon with mashed potato, eggplant and crabmeat croquette. We spent the whole time talking about law (of having your car pulled over, of saman, and of marital rape), insurance, production shows and diving. See how diverse the group is? Let's see.. Out of 10 of us, there were 3 lawyers, 1 insurance marketing exec, 4 engineers, 1 production director and an accountant.

Moorish didn't want us to sing her a Birthday song, and hurriedly blew the candles as soon as they were lit up. But we still sang it anyway, and even louder. Hehe..

We were there for nearly 3 hours, and then a few of us proceeded to 'yum char' at Spicy Kitchen. We talked about a common friend whom we knew back in high school. We were suprised how she used to be very serious and studious back then, but turned out wild, flirtatious and bimbo-ish now. Now that we were bitching about her. It was more like, saddened and wondered about what happened to her. What made her take that drastic change. Is it that she spent her high school days for academic reasons and figured that now she's trying to live her life, making up for lost time? And if she realizes that she is known as the entertainer, GRO or even 'the girl with kidneys on the brain' or something like that? It's sad, really.. And that just kept me pondering for the rest of the night..
